For the Liverpool Hope Carter Preston Foundation, I developed a cohesive brand identity alongside a series of poster designs to promote the 100th anniversary of Julia Carter Preston’s work. The project celebrates her significant contribution to British ceramics, particularly her role in reviving the technique of sgraffito in the 1950s, while also acknowledging the artistic legacy of her father, Edward Carter Preston. The visual approach balances heritage and modernity, combining refined typography with a considered layout system to reflect the foundation’s cultural importance. The posters were designed to engage contemporary audiences while respecting the historical context, creating a body of work that honours both the legacy of the artists and the ongoing mission of the foundation.
